Why Ride with Lupa?
How it Works
(The Rules of the Road)
Apply Where You Live: You must apply to ride in the specific township where you currently reside. Our strength is "neighbors serving neighbors."
Verify Your Address: A Confirmation of Residence is required. We verify every rider to ensure they are true locals of the community they serve.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need my own bicycle?
Yes, our model relies on riders utilizing their own bicycles, promoting sustainability and ownership.
What if I don't have a Proof of Residence?
We accept a letter from your local Ward Councilor, a recent utility bill in your name, or a police affidavit confirming your address.
Is this open to both men and women?
Yes! We encourage everyone to apply. Gender doesn't matter as long as you have a bicycle and reside in the community you are applying for.
Do I need a Matric certificate to apply?
No. We believe in potential and local knowledge. You don't need a Matric certificate, as long as you reside in the community you are applying for.
Can I use a Proof of Address in my parent's name?
Yes. We understand many youth live at home. As long as the document proves you reside in the township where you are applying, it will be accepted.
Is there a minimum age to apply?
Yes, you must be 18 years or older to register as a Lupa Rider.
Do I need to buy a Delivery Box, Safety Helmet, or Reflector Vest?
No. To ensure your safety and professional service, Lupa will provide you with a branded Delivery Box, a Safety Helmet, and a Reflector Vest at no cost to you.
What kind of bicycle do I need?
Your bicycle doesn't need to be fancy or new, but it must be in good working condition (brakes, tires, and chain) to ensure you can complete deliveries safely.
Do I need a smartphone?
Yes. You will need a smartphone with a working camera, WhatsApp and enough data.
How do I get paid?
Our riders earn a commission on every successful delivery. This means the more you ride, the more you earn! Detailed payment structures will be shared during the interview.
What hours will I work?
Lupa offers flexibility. You can choose to work during peak times (lunch and dinner) or full shifts depending on the demand in your township.
What if I get into an accident or have a breakdown?
Safety is our priority. You can immediately report issues, and our local team will assist you.
